There's this saying, '' a great day starts with a great breakfast''. You agree?
This morning was crazy, my friends and I actually wake up around 6am to get ready and departed from Kampar at 7am and starts our breakfast journey... 7am and all the way to Ipoh just to get some awesome Dim Sum!
We went to this Foh San Dim Sum 富山点心, a well-known Dim Sum restaurant there. Our options was either Foh San Dim Sum or Ming Court Dim Sum, which are both right opposite of each other. We didn't have to make up our mind since Ming Court closed today.
This is my first time eating in Foh San, not sure about them. We order quite a lot, leave with super full stomach. and the best part is... we actually went to dai shue geok (Big Tree Foot) for 2nd round. I kinda enjoyed my time with them; Lai Kuan, Xiao Pei, Hui Shi, and adrian

Chrysanthemum tea |
This is what we ordered

breakfast for 5 |
|
stir fried carrot cake |
The carrot cake is nice but still incompatible with the Stir fried carrot cake from Dragon-i, but of course it's more pricey than this.
|
century egg porridge |
Very smooth and mild century egg porridge... kinda like it :)
|
scrumptious egg tart!! |
The egg tart is really really good, the best food here. 5 stars for it. lol
|
double skin steamed |
Errr... this Hong Kong/ Macau dessert. Dounle skin steamed 双皮奶, my first try. It tastes a bit like sweet tau fu with mild ginger aroma and it taste a bit like century egg I think. The taste is bland and it's just not my thing. Don't like it.
Overall, the service is good, the renovation and the environment is magnificent. For Dim Sum rating, I still prefer Ming Court Dim Sum. :))
Lastly, a great breakfast doesn't guarantee a great day. I'm not having a good day here.
