What to wear on the Xmas day?

2012 has almost come to an end! You people notice?
I love December, it's a very joyful month, filled with festive atmosphere. I'm super excited for everything,Christmas... New Year Eve..( okay, except for the predicted dooms day). I seriously hope whatever prediction about the Mayan Doomsday is just a purely joke and it is not gonna come true, I have too many things I wanna do still. Same goes to you guys right? So yea, let's just hope for the best.
okay, back to the excited talk about the Christmas day. How excited am I? I already ordered my Christmas day outfit since October, even though I have no X'mas plan yet. HAH...

What to wear on the Christmas day/ Eve?
We should choose something which is classy and attention-grabbing for the Christmas celebration. For example: purple color, silver gold, colorful sequins and glittery details and of course RED!
To me, Christmas is just like Chinese New Year. You will never go wrong with red color ;)
Why do I prepare it so early?
Firstly, too excited. Secondly, the earlier you prepare your Xmas outfits, the chances for you to have the same outfits with others is way lower, because I supposed most of us like to do last minute shopping, for Chinese new year, for prom and so on. So yea, to avoid the awkward situation, you should get your Xmas outfit 1 or 2 months in advance.

Here are some recommendations for Xmas day outfits!

dress A

dress B

.

dress C

Dress A,B,C are 3 picks from Phatculture. The price range is rather affordable

Dress A: red velvet color, a very simple yet classy dress. You can consider this dress if you are gonna have buffet dinner on Xmas because it's not too tight for you to stuff good food!

Dress B: a bond girl Severine inspired dress. You will just need to put it on with smokey eyes and dark red lips and you'll look drop dead sexy on your xmas.

Dress C: if you are going to attend some wild xmas party, why not this? you can definitely stand out from the crowd. Match it with a pair of sky high heels and keep it simple. That's enough to... VA VA VOOM~

If you prefer simple and sweet looking dresses for a Xmas dinner date, you should try Dressabelle. Ample of choices over there.

Collars have been trending for quite some time now, and it's still the favorite among the girls, I supposed.

Leather dress for Xmas, anyone? :) a very cool and sophisticated look. Maroon leather dress!

Studs, prints, pastel dresses. All you can get it from Style by Juliet!
Black dress with silver studs. also avaiable in Burgundt with gold studs. easy to carry.
lace with grace. Pastel Mint green !

This dress is so Kim Kardashian. Agree? a dress to show what you have!

If you are not a ''dress person'' like me, probably you can go for leggings, bodycon skirt. Feel free to view Michelle Phan's video for modest dressing idea for your Xmas :))

So so many gorgeous piece available out there, so there's no more excuse for you not to dress up on the Christmas day.
let's indulge in this stunning festive season. :)

a night with Bulgogi Brothers

Haloo all :)
I'm back. For those who saw the latest photo I posted on fb will know that I just celebrated Mr.Loke's Birthday few days back.

We went to this Korean Restaurant located at Paradigm Mall named Bulgogi Brothers for our dinner .
It was a belated birthday dinner for 2 birthday boys, Mr.loke and Lin Chin aka Mr.pilot.
FYI, I am a big fan of Korean Cuisine. and Japanese, and.. TOM YUM and.. (the list goes on and on). I love eating good food. Oh well, who doesn't???
Good food doesn't mean expensive food. Good food simply means tasty and stunning food or whatever makes me happy. Nasi Lemak from the roadside could be a good food too.
So, these are what we had :
Korean side dishes
The Korean Appetizer was fine. I am totally in love with the mashed pumpkin scoop. I swear, it is really scrumptious. love the cold and smooth texture, with a little crunchy pumpkin bits in it.

Kimchi Jjigae
Unlike the Kimchi Soup from Daorae, this Kimchi Jjigae is much thicker than usual and is rather authentic. A very warm and hearty dish. Besides, I didn't expect the beef slice to be so tender which literally melted in my mouth? I think. *exaggerating*

Soju Chum-curum
Soju, errr... I took a tiny sip, we think it tasted like Vodka. 4 of them ended up didn't get to finish this small bottle of Soju. This brand is one of the favourite Soju brand in Korea (according to the menu info), but too bad.. not for me.
Haemul Bibimbab

This is what I ordered. It Tastes really bland itself, but it tasted much better with the Korean chili paste.
Haemul Gungjung Mandu
The above is the Golden brown Korean dumplings served with mussels, shrimps, squids.
I prefer Japanese dumplings (gyoza) more.

Haemul Pajeon
This is the worst of all. tasteless and glutinous piece of flour.
It doesn't taste as good as it looks. Don't be deceived by its presentation :/
Dak Galbi Bulgogi
After having so many dishes, this is our last dish. We were all already so full at that time, especially me, but still I had a few pieces of those. This dish is not suitable for those who can't take spicy food at all because it is really spicy, I donno why.

Overall, the food is quite satisfactory (except for the Korean pancake), the service was not so good but the waiter served us a complimentary plum tea after we finished our meal, so this actually add points a little.
The plum tea is really nice, and I finished it up for Mr.loke. HAH... (maybe I was just too thirsty)

Last but not least, a group photo of Mr.Loke with his close friends since high school. Nice meeting you guys :))

Tree & Koala :)
took few pictures but all is blurry. This is the best I have with me. but still better than nothing.

The OL diary: way of life

Hello everyone! How’s life?
I’m still alive after going through hectic weeks.
Ever since I started my internship, I have been spending my time really well (Yes, even the weekends).

I blogged about my first week of internship in the previous entry. So this week, I'm NOT going to continue my week 2 story, etc , but I'm going to blog about some thoughts I have got in my mind after working for 3 weeks.
Everyone is a two-faced for different situations, I reckon.
For example: In the workplace, no matter how people dislike their superior for example the CEO. Hmm.. they will just nod their heads happily with a great big smile. Deep in their heart, agree or not? You will get to find out after the “superior” left because the gossip and sarcasm will just reveal clearly.
I guess this is what we called the way of surviving in the workplace?
I still remember one of my friends called me up and ask about what’s true friend? How to know who is true friend, who’s not?
I told her it is hard to know who is true and who is not and it is definitely a waste of time to suspect your friends and try to figure out who’s not a true friend (backstabber) because it’s hard to know. For me, as long as the person treats me nice and right then he/ she is a great friend. What they do behind I’ll just leave it behind. For those who are OBVIOUSLY a betrayer and backstabber, you should just stay away from them. FULL STOP
life is too short to worry who’s true and who's not. Agree?
Anyway, this is just my opinion and you don’t have to agree with me. Hah
Okay okay… switch topic.
You know what are the pros and cons of working in a food & beverage company?
let me share some.
Advantage:You get to get free food. I got a box of free mooncake on the first day. Besides, our manager treated us a lunch on last Friday. I got to try around 11 types of food from the menu. I don’t think I will get to try so many things from the menu even if I go as a customer for 3 times!
Disadvantage:A food company. I'm working in the accounting department and I deal with invoices every day and you know what? The invoice papers are a bit dirty, oily, and dusty. I can see chili stain, oil stain on the paper. Imagine the same paper has been passing around from the supplier (meat, vege, fish seller) to the outlet (which gonna pass around in the kitchen as well) and lastly, the lucky one from the head quarter office will get those invoices. Now you know why.
Don’t worry, not every of them but some.  Lol

OOTD
finally get to wear this dress from topshop after bought it for 3 months. :)
lastly, let me share this quote from one of my favorite movie.

“People have two sides, a good side and a bad side, a past, a future. We must embrace both in someone we love.”          -The Tourist-

Enjoy you weekends!

The OL diary: first week of internship

Haloo peep. I have started my internship and this entry is sort of like a diary and sharing about my internship :)

day 1 of internship
I feel lost and trying to adapt to this new environment, a place where I know nobody.
I have my own cubicle and my seat is right under the air-conditioner. freezing there and I got flu at the end of the day.
Basically unfamiliar with my work task and the office culture.

day 2
My flu just got worse and I felt so fatigue and felt so so reluctant to enter the office, but I tried to focus on my task and hoping time flies.

day 3
I took panadol before I go to work and today I got a little smarter. why? Because.. I brought my earphone to my workplace as I reminded myself yesterday. It's just so quiet, all I can hear is the phone ringing, puncher and stapler noise, oh yea.. and the fax machine noise. I need music!
At the end of the day, Adele's songs saved my day :)

day 4
Today felt much better, no more fever. I kinda started to enjoy my work more.

day 5
Emo Nemo in the morning because I fought with Mr. Loke. -.-
Today did a lot of scanning... scan audit annual report from different outlet and the 'best part' is I gotta flip page by page and the ''double best part'' is I need to scan the same thing for twice due to some problem.

Overall, I started to adapt to the environment and I get to learn a lot of new things.
hope next week is gonna be better! :)

Besides telling you about my intership, I shall share some friend's internship experience too ahemmm...

Miss xx: first week of internship just got scolded like nobody business just because she made some mistakes.

Miss pp: she witnessed live ''office drama and cat fight''. 3 colleagues just quarrell and almost slap each other. What caused that? too much of gossips.
moral of the story: Don't gossip so much when you work.

Mr gg: I saw his fb status saying first day of internship - mop the floor in formal wear.

haha, so for those who are still enojoying Uni life, please enjoy and cherish your uni life...
Internship and work life is not that easy. Of course they are still some got great experience.

I got this on the first day of internship. not bad huh...
Seriously,
I feel that time is really precious now :/

I wish I was strong enough to leave

Hello peep!
aren't these a little too gorgeous to resist?
already drop my order. will snap photos of myself wearing it when it's here! :))
btw, I ordered the tube dress

Done with my final examinations. Finally done. Did well or not? let's just not talk about this. Especially I. BEEE  paper. ppfftt
Gonna start my intern in about a week time, feel so nervous. I need to fill up my wardrobe with some formal wears, what I have now is insufficient for me to wear everyday. and my sister recommended me this formal wear online store- doublewoot. You girls can check this out if you are desperately in need of formal wear, just like I do.

I feel kinda emo these days. Besides stress, I feel so emo. why? I'm gonna leave where I'm staying now for 3 months of internship. sighh.. What I'm gonna face is uncertainty. Donno what will happened to me in future, and I have no idea where fate and destiny will lead us to. So much to worry.
I will truly miss this place; a place where I grow and improve so much, physically and mentally (self-declared HAHA) and way of handling things; a place which give me so much to remember, even though there's still some not so pleasant one such as friends who backstabbed, betrayed and all. but who cares? this is life.
For the great memories, I will miss my dearest housemates, fyp mates, some great friends in Uni, events that I involved before, attending my favourite tutor's classes hmmm :p and get to meet my love here- Mr. Loke.
Every street, every leaf, every sunset and sunrise...This small little town is beautifully filled with priceless memories.

Wow,sound like I'm graduating immediately huh? lol
Whatever it is... what I'm anticipating next is :

-have more family time
-my internship life.
-meet up with friends.
-a lot of shoppingss, Budget shopping of course.
-H&M!!

yes, first H&M outlet is gonna open in Lot10 on the 22nd September,2012. I'm sure most of the girls know about this and have been drooling for a long time! hope I can get some pieces from there soon!

And there's no way of knowing if our journey will lead us to pleasure or pain.

let's just hope everything is gonna be fine...
have a great weekends ahead

you ripped me off

Haloo! Long time no see. Nothing much to update, exam season, so yea it's all about late night revision, sleepless night, supper and tonnes of notes!
Just done with Portfolio Management paper today, totally look like a zombie now.
Somehow I managed to catch a movie few days back. I wanted to watch Katy Perry [Part of Me] but no one else was interested to watch that. Majority wins all the time, so we end up watching [Total recall]. A remake science fiction, which originally made in 1990. I don't usually fancy with science fiction movie nor book, but I think this is not bad at all. Both actresses, Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale are sizzling hot in the movie.

I'm gonna show another OOTD in this entry.
Another easy to carry outfit. comfy smart casual :))

OOTD 02

Top: bow detailed, a little Chanel inspired, from Covetz. I just love the gold buttons and black bow details.
Pants: 2 years old denim shorts from Cotton On. I have modified it into a ripped shorts.
Shoes: Red classic, from TOMS

Miss Purple and I managed to camwhore a little in campus before attending IB extra class. Last IB class :(
I hope I'm gonna get good grade for this subject.
Love the fact that, we always get to have some silly moment in Uni. The wind was so strong and there were some gardeners around us when we're comwhoring, really awkward eh.

TAKE 1
failed! I was trying to hold my hair, because of the strong wind. look so funny
and this photo amuse Miss purpple A LOT. lol

TAKE 2
this is much better. a satisfying shot

The next part I'll show how I DIY my Denim shorts from Cotton On to a ripped denim shorts a.k.a  cut-off shorts. Just a few simple steps and you get to cheat a little and solve a tinsy part of your wardorbe malfunction problem, I guess.

The top left photo shows the original look of my denim shorts, it's actually a folded shorts.
Step 1: cut the stitches which secured the fold and unfold the denim. (top right photo)

After unfold my folded denim and this is how it looks like (top left)
Step 2: measure and decide how short you want your ripped shorts to be.
step 3: after you've decided, just cut about 1 inch then pull and tear the shorts. as what you can see on the top right photo.
step 4: repeat step 3 until you finished both side.
P/s: do not cut too much, it might turn out to be very very short & you might expose your butt butt.
and you don't have to do it meticulously, just show your freestyle talent. HAH...

you just need to wash your shorts a few times and you will get the fringie fringie. You can't see much fringes from my photo that's because I haven't washed it yet. hmmm I didn't add much details or studs nor spikes, just make it simple. I want it to be timeless and simple classic things are always timeless. Agree? ;)

Denim shorts, a must have in your wardrobe!

other inspired denim shorts look
Have a great weekends ahead!

It's her Birthday!

Finals oh Finals... We gonna sit for our final exams in less than 2 weeks time. I've been busy preparing for finals and settle my internship matters. Yea, intern next sem... Pfftttt... hope it's gonna be as smooth as tau fu fa. Well, let's see. I believe I'll gain and learn a lot during my intern hmmm... and of course I can't wait to blog about my intern life and share with my juniors :))
I broke my promise, I told myself not to have bubble tea everyday, yet I visit Bubblean's almost everyday!
The environment of Bubblean's is just great enough for us to do our revision there. Of course Starbucks has better environment but too bad it's not available in Kampar. I should be glad about this because I don't have to go broke for drinking Starbucks everyday. HAH...

Combo of our group study photos

and today I went to Bubblean's AGAIN! not for revision this time but to celebrate one of my Bestie's Birthday.
It's Eleng's Birthday!
We had an awesome dinner in Xi Lai Restaurant. and just chill in Bubblean after that.

the tiny little flowers cake

as usual, I look Haggard! :(     HATE IT
♥♥♥
Happy Birthday Eleng! Stay pretty always and let's plan for our graduation trip! woohoo...
Love you

Breakfast like a boss

There's this saying, '' a great day starts with a great breakfast''. You agree?
This morning was crazy, my friends and I actually wake up around 6am to get ready and departed from Kampar at 7am and starts our breakfast journey... 7am and all the way to Ipoh just to get some awesome Dim Sum!
We went to this Foh San Dim Sum 富山点心, a well-known Dim Sum restaurant there. Our options was either Foh San Dim Sum or Ming Court Dim Sum, which are both right opposite of each other. We didn't have to make up our mind since Ming Court closed today.

This is my first time eating in Foh San, not sure about them. We order quite a lot, leave with super full stomach. and the best part is... we actually went to dai shue geok (Big Tree Foot) for 2nd round. I kinda enjoyed my time with them; Lai Kuan, Xiao Pei, Hui Shi, and adrian
Chrysanthemum tea
 This is what we ordered
breakfast for 5
stir fried carrot cake
The carrot cake is nice but still incompatible with the Stir fried carrot cake from Dragon-i, but of course it's more pricey than this.

century egg porridge
Very smooth and mild century egg porridge... kinda like it :)

scrumptious egg tart!!
The egg tart is really really good, the best food here. 5 stars for it. lol
double skin steamed
Errr... this Hong Kong/ Macau dessert. Dounle skin steamed 双皮奶, my first try. It tastes a bit like sweet tau fu with mild ginger aroma and it taste a bit like century egg I think. The taste is bland and it's just not my thing. Don't like it.

Overall, the service is good, the renovation and the environment is magnificent. For Dim Sum rating, I still prefer Ming Court Dim Sum. :))

Lastly, a great breakfast doesn't guarantee a great day. I'm not having a good day here.

The day we found new love

I just got back from the park, and I immediately turn on my laptop and start typing this post. I brought BOO to Westlake park for some puppy gathering. He seems so happy and of course utterly exhausted as well (he's sleeping next to me now).

I remember I used to walk to the park and look at friends' puppies and felt soo so envy, I wanted to have my own pet so badly at that time and this time... I have my own puppy with me to join the puppy gathering! Seriously feel great!
Almost 1 and half months, have ''him'' to be by my side. At least when I'm sad or scared, he's there for me and get to bully him when I'm bored. HAH...

I actually adopted him and my friend's dogs are adopted too. You should definitely choose adoption if you are planning to get a pet, regardless puppy, kitten, or whatever. Those homeless animals need your help, need a safe place to stay, HOME. You just have to accept them with an open heart and of course give unconditional care and love. Trust me, dog is like woman, they will even treat you 100 times better if you treat them good.
If you are worrying about their appearance, let me tell you something: every dog could look beautiful if they are being taken care well enough :))
BOO, silky terrier, male, 4 months old. hobby: eat his own shit
You can try SPCA or if you are a BIG fan of Golden Retriever then you should definitely check this out, MD Golden Rescue. It is an association which keen to provide rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming services to Golden Retrievers in Malaysia. If you found some abandoned Golden Retrievers, or you wish to adopt one, or you want to know more about Golden, then this is the place for you :)
Anyhow, think twice before you getting a pet, a high commitment is needed. You have to sacrifice you time, money and effort for them. Your pets can only depend on you, so makesure you can take good care of them but not ending up throw them at the road side.
P/S: adoption doesnt meant getting a free lunch, you need to pay too (Thanks shuang er for reminding)

Alright, back to the puppy gathering. I took some photos, so let the photos do the work.

Rudolf de Golden Retriever under MD golden rescue program, owned by Raymond
YangYang de 2nd Pomeranian adopted by WanYing
