Frankly speaking, I don't remember her birthday until she says it out HAH.

Had a great time catching up with Pamela aka my long lost sister on last Thursday, yea Thursday. (I was supposed to post this up before ''the rendezvous'). Some people think we look quite alike , that is why I am calling her my ''long lost sister''.

We eat red velvet cake whenever we meet up, yes it's my favourite

The rendezvous

A dinner outing with my form6 friends at Betty's Midwest Kitchen. The restaurant is popular I guess, full of customers dining in and we waited for more than half an hour. Betty's doesn't take reservation, so yea you have to wait if you want to eat there. The food was okay, probably meat lover would love it.
It's a sinful place, please don't go if you are on diet. haha

Had fun with them, really. Talked about all the funny stuff happened during form6, and updated each other about our current life. I kinda miss my form6 life, its just so simple.
Glad that we are still in touch and we are willing to make an effort to meet up whenever we could :)

Looking at those old conversations we had and compare it with the current one, it really gimme a massive heartache. We used to chat, tease each other, laugh and now is all about argument, anger, frustration. Things change in the blink of eyes, no?

Happy Monster day!

Happy Monster day! Oopsy.. I mean happy Mother's day.
celebrated Mummy day at Ming Palace, Corus Hotel. The whole family, grandma, uncle,auntie, cousie and all the mummy :)
I did enjoyed the photo session and food with them. Our meal just perfectly completed with the chocolate cake from ''the slice of heaven'' and the green tea cake from ''RT''! Isn't it awesome?

Yesterday was also the 31st anniversary of my uncle and aunt's marriage. Happy for them. 31 years of marriage, is never easy.

Why you no speak english?

"Joselyn, can help me to write this application letter? '' Joselyn, can help me to check my assignment ?''

I have encountered quite a number of these.
First and foremost, I don't speak neither write perfect English like an English professor but I have the tendency to self-help, try and I make effort to improve.
I usually said ok to them. I don't mind lending my hand, not asking for 10k from me, so this is definitely something I can afford to help.
This is not good for you in the long run, instead of asking for help constantly why don't change? Please don't give yourself excuse such as ' I don't speak English at home'
Let me acknowledge you,  I don't speak English at home too.

At my worst case, a person just said '' I need this, please help me to write''. WITHOUT any attempt to write a draft.

I remember I took this subject, the tutor speaks terrible terrible English, and he said ' forgive me, I just graduated and I haven't master my English.'
I dropped that subject the very next day. His excuse is totally unacceptable.

I am not mocking anyone, I just hope people can address this issue seriously.
Please try, you can glean from reading.

Bonjour Garden

Had my lunch with Sue today! She brought me to this awesome place near Sunway Giza. A very nicely renovated place with Paris or French feel named Bonjour Garden. Apparently, this is her study spot for her exam, lucky girl she is.
This place serves Italian and French cuisine and bakery, okay Western food in short. I can say the food is quite yummy and the set lunch pricing is really really reasonable.
Main course + soup + beverage = RM13.90.You will need to bring your order list to the counter and pay before they serve your food. hmm
Good service overall.

After that, we went to 1 utama. I requested because I wanted to buy books. Buy books to fulfil one of the things in my sembreak to-do-list  - spend some value time on  reading.
Managed to buy 2 books from MPH

At last, I survived. after all the struggle during the exam period, I'm now all free!   

      Sem break To-do-list

• send laptop for repair
• hair cut, gonna change my hairstyle maybe
• vacation with sister
• meet up with friends
• do some planning
• spend some value time on reading
• cook for my parents 
• find topic for my final year project
• trip with friends? pending

My sem break is really brief, I hope this is gonna be a productive one.
Next Sem, the beginning of my uni final year ! 


p/s: the Avengers is awesome, Robert downey Junior is THE BOMB! 
       Now I know how Sue Lyn feels. :)

reality is cruel isn't it?

A boyfriend who loves to take photo and likes to capture my smile and my candid shots.

this is what I always hope for.

reality: a boyfriend who doesn't like to take photo, neither for himself nor for me. I'm the one who capture his candid shots instead

catch movies on weekends, watch the VOW, hunger game, and the list goes on and on

reality: we missed them all. Tonnes of assignment, mid-terms, finals. busy, lazy..  and the ridiculous 45 minutes drive to the nearest cinema. 

someone who can cook really well, cook a lot of awesome food for me? a boyfriend who can cook like a chef but not a chef.

reality: best chef on earth who can only cook instant noooddleeee  hmm

These are what I can think of now. there's always gap between your expectations and reality.

You can't always get what you want in life.  So yea, just embrace and appreciate what you have and make the best out of it :)

gonna sit for my last paper tomorrow, wish me luck!!

this year starwalk, I can't wait!

Everyone thinks I'm not a sporty type of person. I admit, I'm not.
I like basketball but I don't play well. Taekwondo,I've stopped going for training, even after learning for like > 5 years.
I am neither a jogger nor runner. but.... finally, like FINALLY, I'm a little good in something?
I am speed walker, self-declared. HAHA
here comes the proof!

I was lucky to get the 20th place for women age 20-40 category in Starwalk 2011. I remember my sis's boyfriend, okay Nelson. He said something like ''owh, so there were only 40 participants in this category?? ''

*snarl*

See this news article, there were more than 14200 participants joined this event last year. Although majority went for the non-competition category, I guess there were at least 1k participants for 20-40 women. hmm

Okay, my main point for this entry is...   I'm gonna join Starwalk 2012!

As usual, it's going to be held in Ipoh. on June 17th. Every participant needs to gather at Stadium Indera Mulia by 6.30am.

- 10 km for competitor

- 7km for non-competitor
